Amstel Anniversary: Greatest Hits
- Classical Music at Schokland

In 1997, the Amstel Quartet made its debut on the classical music scene. With its virtuosity, imagination and distinctive ensemble sound, it set a new standard for the saxophone quartet. Three decades later, the Amstel Quartet celebrates this milestone with Amstel Anniversary. The quartet revisits the music that made it famous, showcasing the breadth and authenticity of its artistry.
Amstel Anniversary is a showcase of the quartet’s adventurous spirit, offering a rich cross-section of its repertoire: from minimalist masterpieces and idiosyncratic Baroque arrangements to a selection of essential works for saxophone quartet. The programme also features pieces written especially for the Amstel Quartet that have since secured a permanent place in the international repertoire.
