Marieke Vos is a versatile Dutch clarinetist and chamber musician. She regularly performs at renowned concert venues, including TivoliVredenburg, the Concertgebouw, and de Doelen, and is frequently heard on NPO Klassiek. Her playing is distinguished by its warm tone and expressive depth. In 2022, she released her debut album, Sliding Doors, recorded with pianist Camiel Boomsma. The album was praised by Klassieke Zaken as “a gem that deserves all the attention” and was selected for the 2022 edition of Aangenaam Klassiek. In October 2025, her second album, Souvenir du Voyage, featuring the Ruysdael Quartet, was released. On this recording, she explores the clarinet quintets of Mozart and Bernard Herrmann.
Pianist Camiel Boomsma is renowned for his sensitive, captivating performances and his ability to bring music to life through the finest nuances of expression. He has performed extensively in the Netherlands and abroad at prestigious venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Schloss Elmau, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and St John's Smith Square in London. His recordings, including Transcriptions for Piano, Porazzi, and Musings, have received critical acclaim in national and international music publications. Reflecting on his interpretations of Chopin on Musings, the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant aptly remarked that “velvet clings to Boomsma's fingers.” With his ninth album, Unforgotten, he turned his attention to piano works by Dutch composer Gerhard Hamm. Alongside his career as a pianist, Boomsma is the author of the book series Brieven aan de Meesters (Letters to the Masters).
The musical partnership between Marieke Vos and Camiel Boomsma is rooted in their shared passion for chamber music. In 2020, they founded Mirantibus Concerts, a concert series dedicated to exceptional chamber music performed alongside fellow musicians. With their attention to detail, natural musical rapport, and personal approach, they create performances that resonate deeply with audiences.
